"Representing New England to the fullest" DJ Big Steph is fast becoming a well known DJ/Producer in the music industry. DJ Big Steph has been quoted by other Hip Hop DJ's as the "one to watch". DJ Big Steph is New England’s premier Mixshow DJ and his name is synonymous with what is cool and happening in New England. His music can be heard on the airwaves of Europe and the United States. You know if your radio station or Night club is hot when DJ Big Steph is on the set! People come to his parties not to be seen but hear Steph tear down the house with his records of choice.


DJ Big Steph attended Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut. He deejayed and promoted Hip Hop parties on Southern Connecticut’s campus and on the radio at 88.1 WESU Middletown, Connecticut. Steph's Childhood friend Carl "Smoove" Brown was discovered by the legendary rap group EPMD. Carl promised Steph if he ever made it big he would not forget him.

Smoove made good on his promise and hired Steph as Street Promotions Coordinator for his R&B Group Smoove with the Ruffness. Smoove and the Ruffness were signed to East West Elektra records by Merlin Bobb and Sylvia Rhone. Steph's determination and dedication assisted to Smoove's success. Steph was employed by Smoove until he graduated college. After college Steph began working for Mercury Records as an Artist & Repertoire assistant.

During his tenure at Mercury Records, Big Steph assisted in production on Platinum artists such as Toni, Tony Tone, Brian Mcknight, Ill and Al Skratch, Black Sheep, Jason's Lyric Motion Picture Soundtrack, Panther Motion Picture Soundtrack, and a host of others.
DJ Big Steph got his big break when he deejayed at a music release party in Hartford, CT hosted by Al Lindstrom (RPM Marketing) and Mercury Record’s recording artist Gina Thompson. After rocking the party to a fever pitch he was soon invited to spin at many clubs and colleges throughout New England.

The John Vasquez Entertainment Group New York City’s premiere entertainment company invited DJ Big Steph to Disc Jockey at their 2005 NBA Draft Party. In attendance at this event were celebrities and socialites such as Ben Gordon, Nicky Hilton, Ed Lover, Jessica Rosenbaum and more.

Steph's hard work ethic has helped him to become an invited DJ to many major music conferences. Steph has been invited to the Gavin Music Seminar, Impact Music Seminar, 2005 NBA Draft, Urban Network, Emixshow Power Music Seminar Rio Grande, Puerto Rico and Red Bull's Music Seminar London, England.

Dj Big Steph is also a hard working entrepreneur. Steph has been named as Cohete Rum’s Connecticut Street representative. He will be in charge of developing exciting promotional events with Cohete Rum’s calendar Girls.
In 2002 Steph formed NastyMixx Marketing and Promotions.
